About the project
TPS was engaged by Aegis Health to deliver the fitout of its first Day Procedure Unit, transforming an empty shell on the ninth floor into a fully operational, LARU-approved healthcare facility. Completed within a six-month program, the project provides Aegis Health with a modern clinical environment designed to support high-quality patient care and future service growth.
The fitout included the construction of three fully equipped procedure rooms, a patient recovery area, central nurses’ station, Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD), waiting area, staff end-of-trip facilities, amenities, and breakout spaces. High-quality finishes and specialised healthcare services were incorporated throughout to meet the stringent requirements of a licensed day procedure unit.
Located on the ninth floor of a ten-storey occupied building, the project required careful planning and coordination to minimise disruption to surrounding tenants and building operations. Material deliveries, waste removal, and construction activities were meticulously programmed to maintain safe access and ensure the continued operation of the remaining occupied levels throughout the construction period.
Close collaboration between TPS, Aegis Health, consultants, specialist subcontractors, and regulatory stakeholders ensured the facility was delivered to the highest quality standards. Through proactive coordination, detailed programming, and effective stakeholder engagement, the project achieved a seamless transition from construction to commissioning.
